He was born and lives in Wrocław - the city’s vibrant and positive energy inspires him constantly. Here he has also his studio, where he’s pursued his photographic projects as a freelancer for several years. He produces campaigns and photographs for big titles, and is continuously associated with Men’s Health magazine, Runner’s World and Auto Motor and Sport. The very titles of these magazines themselves signify how varied and comprehensive the scope of his photography is; from lifestyle to sports and outdoor photography.
Outdoor Session During the Day: Street Fashion
During the day shoot, the X100 performed perfectly, just like most advanced SLRs I know. I used the manual settings to adjust exposure levels using over- and underexposure correction. When working with a model, I often used additional lighting in a form of built-in flash, which, I noticed, works in a very soft manner, giving an interesting effect of light filling.
Plein-Air at Night: Deep Darkness
My main goal was to take pictures of Prague by night without using a tripod. So all the pictures were shot by hand. I found the sensitivity settings from 800 to 1600 ISO produced good results, and pictures came out sharp when shot at speeds as slow as 1 / 4 sec. The white balance compensated well for the varied lighting, and noise remained at a very acceptable levels.
Interior: Room Story
The idea behind the indoor images was to create a subtle, intimate lighting, which gently wraps the body of a model. I worked only with the available light - in this case the source of it was a window overlooking the southern part of the room, softened with a white, stylish curtain. All pictures were taken without a tripod. The camera proved to be fantastic - recording every detail, and bringing out the true texture and colour of the model’s body.

However, the sense of aesthetics, and a distinct, different, way of perceiving the world; plus the ability to see what others do not see, is something in-built that you cannot learn, and the X100 will undoubtedly help you to express and define this.
